USPS may brave it, but…

I am so glad we don’t have anywhere to go today…

.WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING UNTIL 7 AM
MONDAY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECASTS THAT SNOW WILL SPREAD INTO THE AREA LATER THIS AFTERNOON. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO ACCUMULATE BETWEEN 2 AND 4 INCHES BY LATE EVENING. STORM TOTALS BY MON MORNING WILL RANGE FROM 4 TO 8 INCHES. THE SNOW MAY MIX WITH FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET DURING THE OVERNIGHT HRS.WITH SOME ICY ACCUMULATIONS
POSSIBLE.

My DAD, though, wants to drive up to Akron this afternoon. He and mom are set to stay with my stepsister’s family and help with the kids since her husband is returning to work this week. It’s a really unwise thing to drive in the storm headed our way, mom and I are against it. Stubborn man!

  1. Hope you’ve got lots of wood on the fire and some good movies to watch. Sometimes these weather things a good for us, they give us a chance to settle in and rest, no don’t ((DRIVE)) anywhere.

  2. Considering there’s a lot of rural areas surrounding our towns, they do cancel school sometimes because it would not be safe to drive the busses on slick roads. They had a 2-hour delay last week because of frigid temps, too.

  3. GW, did theey stay home or go? The news here is that the weather there is killing people. Hope they are safe?

  4. They did drive up to Akron, but the storms were so slow-moving and late coming into our area, they were well ahead of it. They’re staying up there until Wednesday or Thursday…So we hope no inclimate weather comes through for their drive back home.
