The lovelorn suitor

A young man thought himself in love with two women, and couldn’t decide which one he should marry. Finally he sought out a marriage counselor, who asked him to describe the attributes of the two women. The young man said that one was a great poet and the other made delicious pancakes.

“Oh,” said the counselor. “I see. You must decide between for batter or for verse.”
