Molly’s curiosity overcame any discomfort she felt. Cat’s don’t stick around if something really scares or bothers them – they his and swat a few times, but then take off. I think the twitching was involuntary because she’s so keyed-up and curious, kind of like when we watch scary movies and any little stimulus can make us jump. We keep watching, though. LOL
