My hubby’s sister and her two kids are in town from Alabama for the next ten days. They’re bunking downstairs at my MIL’s apartment, but the kids are teens — both nightowls like us, too — so they’ll likely hang out up here after mom and grandma crash each night.
I can’t believe how much they’ve grown since I last saw them (three years ago, so you’d better believe there’ve been big changes!). They’re good kids, too, animated and friendly, not studies in indifference like so many teens. Aaron is 14 and Abigail is 16. We like a lot of the same movies and TV shows, so I expect we’ll be getting a lot of movies from the library and such.
Howie watched Good Boy! with them last night, but I just checked my e-mail one last time and headed to bed to read. I’ve had daily headaches again, not sure why other than maybe the weather, and just didn’t want the noise. I could hear certain bits of movie, and the resultant eruptions of laughter, and I laughed along with them, from the bedroom; that movie is really funny, especially if you’re a dog lover.
So…if I’m scarce, I’m still alive. I just may be playing cards or watching movies at night instead of surfing the web while Howie’s at work.
Nah, no excuse at all! Actually, it’s funny…I still post at DG, but that’s usually in response to other people. Here, I must come up with original thoughts, or at least semi-original ones.
