CSS revisited, plus new tunes

A while back, I mentioned a website I thought might be helpful to those of us tackling CSS (cascading style sheet) files and their use with MT.

Well, even that was over my head. Tonight, I found a link in one of the MT support forum threads and I’m hopeful this Bare Bones, No Crap, CSS Text Control Primer is a better place to start.

I don’t know why I can’t seem to buckle down and learn new things like this. They don’t look that hard. Most of the time, I’m free to flit from subject to subject, but it’s frustrating having my attention level be so poor when there’s something difficult I really do want to learn. I really do want to learn this stuff, but all I seem to do is find myself distracted. I’ve been out of school too long!

On a happier note, I’ve been enjoying streaming radio via Shoutcast stations this evening. I particularly have enjoyed what I’m hearing at WCFC’s feed. I’m hearing a lot of classic CCM I’ve not heard since the 80’s, plus some new tunes.

One song, “Breathe Your Name” introduced me to Sixpence None the Richer. While looking up more information on them, I saw a wee little text ad for another band, Grey Eye Glances.

The text ad was one of Google’s little AdWords text ads. It teased, “If you like Sixpence None the Richer, check us out” (or something close to that). So I did. And it was good.

  1. I hope you figure it out! I hav been trying to understand Movable Type but so far it has not cleared it’s way through this fogy brain. So I know that CSS would be a zillion miles over my head. I have been using your link to WCFC and enjoying it.
