I looked out the window to see a little dark-eyed junco pecking in the grass out in front of our house. I love those little wintertime visitors. It’s another small milestone of the year to see the first one of the season. I wrote this more so I can remember, but other bird enthusiasts might find it of interest.
Howie works a regular 8 to 5-ish schedule, and my hours are usually 10am to around 3 or 4pm. I’m typically home just a little later than him. He’s been a sweetheart, making us breakfast in the mornings, so it’s nice to have that time before he heads to work and I start getting ready.
That gives me time to get ready and have almost an hour to check my e-mail and so forth.
Come inclimate weather, that time will be cut short by window-scraping and giving myself extra time to get to the store, though!
Are you and Howie on the same schedule?
