This time, the video’s something I did. A baby shower is happening on Saturday, and this video is a surprise for the mom-to-be. Right now I have it hosted at Youtube.com, but am embedding it here in my blog.
This is my first Photo Story 3 slideshow and I really enjoyed putting it together. It was a labor of love, plus something I really enjoy. I’m so pleased with how this came out and am thankful the family gave me permission to post it.
I hope to make a side business of doing such personalized videos. We bought a DVD burner knowing we’d need to be able to save large files for shipping. It will record directly from a VCR, too, so I can make DVD’s of analog VHS tapes. We’ve already burned our wedding videos onto DVD. 🙂
Now all I need to do is learn more about video editing. I know my notebook PC is woefully underpowered for heavy video editing, so for now, I will stick to the photo slideshows and grow from there. Much thanks to Papa John for his wonderful information! I got a lot of ideas from his site’s great content.
At any rate, be watching for more videos since I will likely make some with my own photos next. There’s just so much to learn, especially about various software, video encoding, compatibility of various media…It’s a whole new world. At least I am a little farther along on the learning curve since I am very familiar with digital potography and really know my way around a computer (long as it has Windows!). If I don’t know how to do something, I know where to look for answers and that’s half the battle.
