We’re adding to our family

I tweeted about it yesterday: Looking @petfinder for a puppy – we’re ready! This must be what expectant parents feel like. Only we get to choose our baby! The secret’s out: We’re adding to our family! We haven’t found a pup just yet, but we’re pouring over Petfinder, filling out rescue organization applications, watching the [...]

This vying for dominance has got to stop!

Emma and Sarah got into a tussle on the patio a couple days ago, not long before our R-I-D-E Wednesday night, actually. I know it’s normal for a younger, submissive dog to begin challenging the dominant dog’s authority. Well, Sarah is getting older, and after Wednesday’s scuffle, she ended up lying down on the patio [...]

Emma & Sarah go for a R-I-D-E

It was quite the adventure, surely nothing any of us had experienced before. You never know what you’ll see when you take a drive in the country. I’m so glad we have the little pocket cam for video!

It has eight testicles. [...]

Already have a tomato!

We already have a tomato on one of our patio tomato hybrids. I can’t take any credit for it, though. It was already there when I bought the cellpack of three little plants. I am going to remove it and let the stressed little seedling put its energy into developing a healthy root system in [...]

Water gardening in small spaces

When you think about water gardening, do you envision ponds and waterfalls? Not everyone has the space for a garden pond, and if you rent, you may not have permission to dig a big hole in the yard! We have a garden pond right next to our patio in our back yard, but there were [...]
