Leo’s back!

Just a happy note here for all Leo Laporte fans. G4 TV wised up and brought Leo back on the revamped Call For Help. We’re happy campers here in Chez Geek. we’re not the only ones.

Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?

Our good friends in Thibodaux, Louisiana weathered Katrina at home. They’re without power and had wind damage, but they’re okay, thank God. Grand Isle, that beautiful seashore we enjoyed together, hasn’t fared so well, though. And we know the people in New Orleans are hurting.

Doctor day for the H-Man

Tomorrow morning, we’re heading into Columbus for Howie’s appointment with the neurologist. This man isn’t the surgeon, but he will review Howie’s MRI films and the radiologist’s report with us, then let us know if surgery is recommended as well as how soon. I’ll post an update as soon as we know more. We’d both really appreciate your prayers, that the doctor will have wisdom and that we’ll ask the right questions and understand the answers well.

Calories as Cash

This article I originally wrote for the YMCA newsletter, but it was cut due to size constraints. It looks like our local paper may do a story about Howie’s and my weight loss, so that’s very cool. We love the opportunity to encourage others to make positive changes in their lives. Read the article.
