This was in WCLT’s newsletter this morning (a transcript of their top local news stories).
Police are looking for two men who allegedly attacked a man last week over not having a cigarette. The Heath police say two young men walked up to 26-year-old Brian Leek of Newark in front of the Giant Eagle in Heath around 3 last Friday afternoon and asked him for a cigarette. Leek said he didn’t have one and the two men attacked him. Leek received a fractured skull and broken nose in the attack. Anyone who has information about the attack is asked to call the Heath P-D.
Non-smokers now have a new cause for concern: hyped assaliants craving nicotine. It sounds to me like the guys were jonesin’ for more than just a cigarette…Good grief.
