Today we saw the new commercial for Tropicana’s new Light’n Healthy orange juice. It’s the latest in the low-carb fad, a low-sugar carb, low-calorie version of orange juice. What have they done, just water it down and add flavoring?

Just a quick, random thought here. I’m putting together a grocery list and, in the process, combing the weekly sales circulars. The Wal-Mart Superstore will match any advertised price on items as long as it’s not a “buy one get one free” or percentage-off type of offer.
Will it never end? I’m still in my now seemingly permanent black brace (sheesh, since late April), though I’m no longer immobilizing my thumb. I went ahead and kept my orthopedic specialist appointment since it’s just not resoloving on its own.

Howie and I are putting off slumber, enjoying the sound of the rain. We need this gentle soaking, and it sounds so wonderful. My husband is so dear. Just had to mention that in this peaceful lull.

The following is a rewrite of an urban legend. I think the version I received is much better than that quoted at Snopes. And, even if it is an urban legend, it’s a fun, ironic story.
