Mystery Artist

My friend in Louisiana is trying to figure out the artist who painted this painting. It’s not known if the artist was a local or not. Here’s a close-up of the artist’s signature. So, do any of you fine folks — many of you artists in your own right — have an idea of what it says? We’ve been trying various names in searches but have netted nothing just yet. Have at it, mystery fans!
